About

Patsy was elected to the Office of Berkshire Middle District Register of Deeds in 2012 and was honored to have been re-elected to the Office in 2018.

Prior to her elevation to Register, Patsy was an Assistant Register of Deeds for five years. During her tenure at the Registry under two previous registers, she had proven herself to be a true asset to the Registry of Deeds. The people who frequent the Registry of Deeds -mostly attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants and title examiners – appreciate Patsy’s experience along with her eagerness to assist them.

As Register, Patsy continues to personally assist professionals and the general public who use the Registry of Deeds on a daily basis. Due to her experience in title searching, Patsy is extremely competent in assisting customers with their concerns regardless of their experience level. Patsy helps individuals regularly with issues such as boundary lines, encumbrances and other important matters relating to their property.

Patsy has been active in the legal community for 37 years. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s Central High School in Pittsfield, MA. Upon completion of her Associates Degree from Berkshire Community College, she began working as a legal secretary for the law offices of Attorney John A. Barry, Jr. Patsy became a certified Paralegal through the American Institute for Paralegal Studies and subsequently began her career as a self-employed Title Examiner which included searching titles in all three Registries of Deeds in Berkshire County.

In April, 2001, Patsy began working at the Berkshire Middle District Registry of Deeds as a Junior Clerk under the former Register of Deeds, Mary K. O’Brien. At this time, Patsy completed several business courses while enrolled at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in their evening program.

A native of Pittsfield, Patsy now resides with her husband in the beautiful hills of Hinsdale.
